Corporate Citizenship Award

Your Mission is Our Mission

Our drive to support the underserved is more than a mission statement, it’s our passion. That’s why we’re so deeply committed to giving back to the same communities your agency is serving every day.

Northwoods is honored to receive a 2019 Corporate Citizenship Award from Columbus Business First for our commitment to making Central Ohio a better place.

We have an internal volunteer site that employees can review for opportunities and each employee is allowed 20 hours per year to donate their time. Along with volunteering, employees can financially support the Northwoods Foundation, which then fulfills requests for assistance submitted by employees, partners, families, and friends.

We are thankful for this award and our ability to make a difference! If your agency has a program that needs support, we’d love to hear about it. Just email foundation@teamnorthwoods.com!

Family First Prevention Services Act: Anticipating and Navigating the Road Ahead

The Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA)  supports something child welfare agencies have wanted for years: IV-E funding flexibility to support and expand their preventative services. FFPSA also has guidelines and restrictions that are making states pause and evaluate the negative impact to current IV-E waiver-supported programs.

We know you have questions about how FFPSA will ultimately impact agencies at all levels (we do too!), so as a partner in your prevention efforts we have compiled a list of several resources that we think will be a big help to you as you navigate the changing waters.

Read the list in our Research Library.

Human-Centered Design: How Northwoods Builds Solutions Around You

Human-centered design is and always has been the Northwoods way.

To create technology that solves problems for human beings, one must truly understand the problems, contexts, and conditions those human beings are subjected to, and to us, that’s just common sense.

Everything we create ... everything we do ... is done with the needs of the people our solutions serve in mind.

Here's a quick look from our product design leader at how we apply our human-centered approach from product idea to maturity.
